Can Radix DM be used in organisations with more than one location? Yes, Radix DM supports multiple locations on the same network and domain. Radix DM has been designed to minimise the impact on network traffic between locations. Users can save and search documents locally or to any location to which they have permission to access. Please contact sales for more details and to discuss your specific requirements. ![]() Can Radix DM be accessed remotely? Yes, Radix DM will run over a VPN connection and can also be used in Windows Terminal Services for remote access. ![]() Is a web interface available for Radix DM? Not yet but coming soon. ![]() Can documents be loaded in bulk into Radix DM? Yes, the Document Importer for Radix DM allows documents to be automatically bulk imported into Radix DM. This add-on can be used either as a once off import of your existing documents to Radix DM or to automatically import regularly created documents such as invoices. ![]() Are scanned documents text searchable in Radix DM? Yes, as long as long as the documents are scanned with software that supports optical character recognition. Examples are Outback Imaging’s EzeScan software and the Paper Capture function in Adobe Acrobat. ![]() Can Radix DM be used as a records management system? Yes, Radix DM has many features required for records management including the ability to automatically set document archiving and destruction dates. Radix DM also allows document records to be created for paper or physical files as well as electronic files. ![]() Is there a limit to the number or size of documents that can be stored in Radix DM? Radix DM can store millions of documents. The effective number of documents that can be stored and the size of the documents are determined by your server capacity. ![]() Will Radix DM reduce the amount of space required by our Microsoft Exchange Server? Yes, Radix DM allows email, including attachments, to be moved from Outlook (and therefore Microsoft Exchange Server) into Radix DM. Email is perfectly preserved in Radix DM including attachments and opens again in Outlook allowing users to forward, reply and perform all other functions provided by Outlook. ![]() Does Radix DM integrate with Active Directory? Yes, Workgroups in Radix DM can be linked to Library Groups in Active Directory. This simplifies both user administration and document security. This feature is not mandatory so you can manage Radix DM Workgroups independently of Active Directory if required. ![]() Is a developer API available to allow Radix DM to be integrated into other applications? Yes, please contact sales for more details. ![]() What happens if I want to stop using Radix DM? If in the future you find your needs become more complex and Radix DM no longer provides the functions required it is a relatively straight forward process to export the document profile information from Radix DM.
